Sheridan's Learning and Teaching Environment (SLATE) delivers our online learning experience to the Sheridan community. This online environment provides a rich tool set to share curricular content, facilitate communication, enable collaboration and support our entire spectrum of learning opportunities.
How policy affects you:
Unless specified otherwise, the content within SLATE is the intellectual property of Sheridan or the respective rights holder and use of it must comply with all Sheridan policies. Including but not limited to: Acceptable Use Policy, Use of Copyright Protected Work Policy and the Student Code of Conduct.
All Sheridan policies can be viewed on the Sheridan Policy website.
Faculty, staff and students may use, copy and share materials in SLATE for learning and/or research purposes provided that the use complies with fair dealing or an exception in the Copyright Act. Permission from the rights holder would be necessary otherwise. Please note that it is prohibited to reproduce and/or post a work that is not your own on third-party commercial websites including but not limited to Course Hero or OneNote. It is also prohibited to reproduce and/or post a work that is not your own or your own work with the intent to assist others in cheating on third-party commercial websites including but not limited to Course Hero or OneNote.

Please be advised that your class may be recorded for teaching and learning purposes for use by other students. By turning on your camera at any time, you are consenting to your image or likeness being recorded. Should you not wish to have your image or likeness captured, it is recommended that you keep your camera switched off. During some course activities you may be required to turn on your camera.
